New AMG styling kit for the R-Class

Want the AMG look on the standard R-Class? Well, you're in luck.

DaimlerChrysler announced that the Mercedes R-Class is getting a bit of sport tossed into the mix with a new AMG componenet appearance kit. The kit, consisting of 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels and front/rear body-color aprons, can be ordered immediately and will become available on the market in February 2006. The AMG rear apron features black inlay and chromed scratch protection in brushed stainless to provide both style and protection when loading the car. The front apron features larger air intakes and fog lamps for a more aggressive look.

The press release by DaimlerChrysler states the AMG components are available for short wheelbase, long wheelbase, the R 320 diesel varient and the R 350 and R 500 gas models.
