Bugatti Cars
There have been, in practical terms, three different Bugattis. The first was driven by Ettore Bugattiâs unique approach to building sports cars. The early Bugattis were built like fine watches, elegant but impressively dominant in prewar Grand Prix racing. Bugatti, like much of Europe, was ruined by World War II and petered out of existence in the 1950s. Its first reincarnation was helmed by the Italian Romano Artioli, whose EB110 was ambitious and complex. The modern Bugatti is a Volkswagen Auto Group brand, whose first car was the Veyron 16.4 â the fastest street-legal car in the world by some measures, and an engineering marvel. Its successor, the Chiron, builds on the Veyronâs legacy and is incrementally more impressive.
