With the release of " Need for Speed Payback" just a few weeks away on Nov. 10, EA Games and Ghost Games have finally revealed the full car list. In total, there are 74 cars. While that may seem like a low number compared with "Forza Motorsport 7''s" whopping 700, and even the roughly 160 in "Gran Turismo Sport", we're pleased to say that this list looks quite well-rounded.

Muscle car fans will enjoy the old Mercury Cougar, Plymouth Barracuda, Dodge Charger R/T, Mustang Boss 302, and Buick GNX, among others. A slew of hypercars make the list too, including the Pagani Huayra BC, Koenigsegg Regera, Ford GT, Lamborghini Aventador, and Porsche 918 Spyder. And of course there are several Skylines, Hondas, BMW M cars, and more for the tuner set.

There are even a few oddities in the list, like the Land Rover Defender, which " Need for Speed" Creative Director Will Ho acknowledged was unusual, but said it was very popular with game testers. It will also go along nicely with other off-roaders such as the F-150 Raptor, and the equally boxy Mercedes-AMG G63. Though it may need some major performance upgrades to keep up.

As previously shown, there will be no shortage of upgrades, either. Some of the new features include colored nitrous flames, underglow and tire smoke to augment existing body kits, wheels and performance parts. According to Ho, these were all parts requested by fans to make a return to the game.

All 74 cars should look and sound good, too. Ho explained that most of the cars are modeled using CAD data from the manufacturers, with final tweaks done by the developers. The cars all use sound recorded by cars driven on the street. Apparently they're all rigged up with various microphones to capture the sound as accurately as possible.
