The Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo isn't the first car designed specifically for the popular PlayStation driving simulator. There were several before, from the GTbyCitroën to the Red Bull X1. And it won't be the last, either.

When Polyphony Digital and Mercedes-Benz revealed the AMG Vision Gran Turismo concept for GT6, it said at the time that it would be just the first. And now the video game studio has released sketches of some of the others we might expect to see appearing in the game in the near future (as promised this summer).

We've got precisely squat to go on in the way of details, but the renderings themselves speak volumes. Or a few lines, anyway. In the gallery above, you can see proposals for more Vision Gran Turismo concepts from Aston Martin (pictured above), Alfa Romeo, Bertone, BMW, Ford, GM, Honda, Hyundai, ItalDesign Giugiaro, Mitsubishi, Peugeot, SRT, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen and Zagato. There's even one from Nike, and another from Mercedes (this time from its F1 team).

Just how many of these will find their way into the game remains to be seen, but one thing's for sure: we haven't seen the last of concept cars designed specifically for video games.

Between the Vision Concepts and GPS aided create-your-own-track based off your daily commute, this game looks awesome. Too bad I don't have a PS3.

I'm surprised to see a Tesla Vision GT concept in there.

more concepts for a game that needs more polish. why not try to polish the other 900 cars that were low re sports for gt5? maybe better sounds, more performance tuning, etc? gt has turned more into a red carpet event than a driving simulator. forza romps this hands down.

Where did you play the final product that you managed to know how unpolished it is and how it compares to Forza?

Forza is terrible....good for people with slow wits and fingers.

Except there's one thing where Forza fails in comparison to GT, the driving physics. GT has the best physics on a gaming console, period.

David the answer to that in many things with the tire being one part that it self is made of various variables like compound, temp, side wall height, tire width. Other aspects include suspension type, suspension geometry. spring rates, shock valving on both compression and expansion, tire track width, car weight, body overhang, center of gravity that is effected by many things like where is the engine located and how much it weighs. So yes the trunk, rear defrost and fuse box do actually play a role in how a car handles.

Well let's see.......what makes a car handle? Is it the trunk? Ohhh it's the fuse box! Nah, that's not it.......it's right on the tip of my tongue.......is it the rear defroster? Oh well, I can't think of it. It's obviously not the tires. Nope, not at all.

Since when? Forza teamed up with a tire manufacturer to get the most realistic tire modeling (btw GT6 followed suit, so there's that), and crash modeling. GT is the prettier looking of the two but other then that, that's about it.

I would've bought this if it was coming to PS4. Instead, I'll wait for GT7.

It won't be. Hardware reasons. They'll have to port it to PS4.

This game is going to be pretty epic. I'm liking the look of that Ford concept, I'm still trying to figure out what it is going to look like.
