More LaCrosse fun from USA Today

This week I find no fault with James R. Healey’s take of the full line-up of the new Buick LaCrosse. It reads well and gives a lot more information on the three trim levels than I had seen before. I’m surprised the smaller engine wasn’t compared to the similar power found in the new Ford Five Hundred. I’d like to see how the two compare. The more expensive ($29,000!) CSX model has a nice 240 horsepower V-6 and sharper steering. I find it interesting too in Healey’s notes that the Buick is nine inches longer but has less interior room than a Toyota Camry. Healey also points out the aging platform the LaCrosse is built on and the fact that even with its faults the car outdoes the Century and Regal.
