Ford Escape recalled again

The AP reports that Ford is recalling 262,113 Ford Escapes because of a faulty rear gate. It seems that in crashes the rear gate could fly open. Not good. The recall includes 2001-2005 models and 49,800 Mazda Tribute SUVs that have the same problematic rear gate. This is on top of an earlier recall of 470,245 Escapes due to a possible accelerator problem. How’d you like to have had both in the same month?
