Chevy’s last sedan lives for another year
Ignore all the rumors you’ve heard about the death of the Chevy Malibu family sedan. The Malibu was supposed to end after 2024, but it’s still alive. 2025 is the midsize sedan’s final year, and you can still get a great lease deal on it in July. The 2025 Chevy Malibu is the bowtie brand’s last sedan standing since the disappearance of the larger Impala in 2020. The Malibu name was resurrected by Chevy in the late ‘90s, and the current 9th-generation model has been around since 2016. The Malibu was Chevy’s answer to the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Ford Fusion, Hyundai Sonata, and Mazda6.
The Malibu continues to deliver ride style, room, and ride comfort, as well as a solid set of standard features that manage to keep up with newer competitors. In terms of ride comfort, the Chevy Malibu strikes a nice balance between sporty and compliant, which should please a wide swath of customers. For July, Chevy is offering the 2025 Malibu with an attractive lease deal.

Final thoughts
The 2025 Chevrolet Malibu is a great value in the midsize family sedan segment thanks to its attractive exterior styling, roomy interior, good physical controls, and solid fuel efficiency for a gas-only model. For a low monthly lease price this month, it’s a good time to get into one. Take into account costs at lease signing, including taxes and registration fees, and the total amount due at lease. Read the lease agreement carefully and inquire about potential additional costs at the dealership.
