New TRD Pro range shows off Toyota’s fun side
Toyota has introduced two vibrant new colors for its TRD Pro lineup, the brand’s most capable off-road SUVs and pickups. Available for the 2027 model year, the Honeycomb and Hot Honey shades add some visual punch to the Tundra, Sequoia, Tacoma, and 4Runner. Toyota is not typically known for wild or particularly interesting color palettes—and most car buyers prefer grayscale shades, anyway—but the new hues give the Japanese marque something attention-grabbing in the realm of Ford’s Code Orange, which can be found on the Raptor pickups.

The Honeycomb exterior color is reserved for TRD Pro variants of the Tundra, Sequoia, and Tacoma. For the 4Runner TRD Pro, a similar color known as Hot Honey will be available as an option. The 2027 configurators of these models have not gone live yet, so it’s unclear if these new colors will cost extra.

“Built to stand out on and off the road, the new Honeycomb color gives certain TRD Pro models a bold, high-impact appearance that underscores their adventurous character,” said Toyota.
The Honeycomb and Hot Honey shades contrast well with the black cladding, prominent grilles, and wide fenders of the TRD Pro derivatives. Red TRD Pro badging and tow hooks add even more personality to these off-roaders, which come with a more robust suspension and other hardware updates.
What’s New For 2027 TRD Pro Models?

Toyota has further improved certain TRD Pro models for the 2027 model year, making them even more capable on the dirt. For the Tundra TRD Pro, there are new FOX enhanced Q3S shocks that improve stability over rough terrain. The same shocks will be fitted to the 2027 Sequoia SUV. All-terrain tires, LED marker lights, protective skid plates, and bespoke upholstery are among the other changes that are expected to be retained for 2027.
TRD Pro models have the best ground clearance and approach angles, allowing them to cross larger obstacles and uneven terrain that would be more of a challenge in one of the standard trims.
Toyota hasn’t yet released complete 2027 upgrades for the 4Runner and Tacoma, so it remains to be seen if those TRD Pro models will receive updates beyond the new color.

The 2027 Tundra and 2027 Sequoia are set to go into production in fall 2026, which is when the new colors for TRD Pro models will become available. 2027 production of the 4Runner and Tacoma has yet to be announced, but we expect details to be shared imminently.
2027 pricing remains unknown, but these are the current prices for 2026 TRD Pro variants:
- Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro: $64,450
- Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro: $68,200
- Toyota Tundra TRD Pro: $72,565
- Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro: $82,465
These prices exclude destination fees and will likely increase slightly for 2027. With options and accessories, it’s already possible to spend over $100,000 on the Sequoia TRD Pro.
The new updates and fresh colors will give Toyota’s already popular TRD Pro variants another boost as it continues battling with the Ford Tremors/Raptors, Chevy ZR2s, and Ram RHOs of the world.
