The logic follows that for the past few years Toyota has been adding more features without raising prices, which in
turn removes the headline-grabbing big rebates to move metal. All this boils down to what’s better: inflating prices to
offset the rebates that buyers expect to receive, or keep the price just below level of worth to kill incentives. Both
sides will fight that they do not pursue these practices (Chrysler says they do not price a car with “incentives
inherent” and Toyota denies pricing their cars any lower than they should be). Interesting read, this blame game. Just
build better cars all around and lowered incentives should follow.
