A few sites including Serious Wheels and
VW Vortex have info on the
latest limited edition from Wolfsburg. This ominous sounding Dark Flint Beetle is described in the release as “The
anthracite coloured open-top New Beetle will be available with a garnet red hydraulically-operated top and Bordeaux red
leather interior trim in a limited series of 250 vehicles from January 2005.” With the spelling I’m sure our readers
can tell this vehicle will be available in Europe only initially and will see a stateside version possibly this Spring.
I have to say when VW does their special editions they always look great.
