Starting with the newly unveiled 2006 Kia Rio, Kia Motors America Inc. will be installing standard side-curtain
airbags across their model line by the end of 2005. Last month the Kia Spectra received the worst safety rating in a
frontal crash test for any car since 2001. I guess Kia needs that little extra “I swear our cars are safe” public
relations.
