I have 89500 mi. on My Jeep and still enjoying the comfort and ride of a Jeep. On the higuway it runs very smooth and almost like my old Land Rover with great suspension. My Jeep is always serviced on time and in return have always given me a great ride on and off the cement roads. Jeep is a Jeep. Gas mileage complaints? LOL Buy a KIA or a Hybrid if you don't want to spend on gas? Got MUD? I just love my Jeep no matter what others say. Ciao!

I drove my Jeep off the lot with 4 miles on it. It has been a great car until about 100k. Now I am at 104k and have a brand new transmi$$ion, AC system and am still trying to figure out how to open the back gate with a broken latch. Other than that, it has been great. Beats a car payment, wouldn't trade it for anything.
Stopped driving my Vette for the Liberty
I first experinced a Liberty when my corvette was in the shop for repairs and I needed a rental. I was impressed enough that I bought one as my second car. It performed so well I started driving the Liberty and it became my primary vehicle. I was always thinking this must be a quality built 4WD since I never had problems. My biggest decision was where to stop for gas! I keep my oil changed every 3000 miles and have the recommended maintence done.
After driving 29,000 miles in three years the AC, and a seatbelt were the only issues I had. They were covered under warranty and fixed with no problem.
I will buy another Jeep when this one is paid off and give this one to my 19 year old son. But he knows about the quality of a Liberty after hearing me praise the AC and heater systems. The 4WD is easy to use comes in handy with the wintery roads in Colorado. I highly recommend to rent one first if you are deciding which vehicle to buy. It'll be a test drive the dealerships don't offer. Drive it and you'll buy it.
Best all-around utility vehicle I have owned
I have owned a lot of 4WD vehicles, both for personal use and buisness (where I have owned four at a time). The Liberty is the best of the lot.
It gets a true 17 mpg around town, and 20 to 22 on the highway. It is not as comfortable as a car-based utility vehicle, but it is a heck of a lot tougher. My wife and I just put it to the test in the Sierras over a route we often traveled in our Wrangler. Except for less clearance, it was the equal to the Wrangler. We went places only quads were going.
For a business/family vehicle, it has adequate carrying capacity, reasonable comfort and great reliability.
I have had ZERO problems. Unfortunately, those with complaints are most likely to submit these reviews. The Liberty owners I speak to have similar experinces to mine.
Love my Liberty!
If maintained as directed in manual, virtually no mechanical issues in 3 1/2 years. Ride is smooth on highwy and city, not truck-like at all. Exterior looks as good as the day purchased. Comfortable interior. Great pick-up. Will always buy a Jeep.
