Audi A1 Sportback Five Door Samurai BlueAudi showed off a few examples of the company's new A1 Sportback Five-Door at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show. The German automaker has already said that the larger hatchback will be available with the same six engine options as its three-door sibling. That means buyers will be able to lay their hands on an A1 Sportback Five Door with a 1.4-liter turbocharged gasoline four-cylinder good for 185 horsepower. There are also three diesel engine options available for those who require a little extra fuel economy.

The base model will land with an MSRP just shy of €17,000 in Europe, or $27,000 USD based on current exchange rates.

While we're plenty partial to the orange A1 in the lead gallery above, Audi also showed off a unique Samurai Blue version of the vehicle that could only exist in Japan. Here's hoping you like bizarre wheel color options.

The fit is bland, mixed with a hint of boring, and a dash of yawn.

I *own* a Fit, and I think it looks kind of like a doorstop, and not in a good way.

Hey bro, I'd hate to be the one to tell you this again but we're all sick of you and the trend that you were trying to set on using a japanese car to bash pretty much the rest of the auto industry went out of style in the 90's.

Rice, the fit is bland. The z car is sweet, the leaf and juke do it for lots of folks. No one routinely bashes japan cars as bland the way you bash everything non-asian. You are a one note air horn on an otherwise decent and fun discussion group.

That is a nice color combination. It will never make it stateside since VW doesn't see fit to sell anything smaller than a Golf here.

I like the 2 door but the extra 2 doors looks very forced.
