Bertone B 99 concept – Click above for high-res image

Opinions have been split over Jaguar's latest design phase. Some are enamored of the company's modern styling on the likes of the latest XF and XJ sedans, while others lament the demise of the company's classic lines. What very well might be called for, then, is an outside alternative. And judging from the leaked images above, it looks like we're about to get exactly that at the fast-approaching Geneva Motor Show.

The B 99 concept sedan above is apparently Bertone's take on what a modern Jag should look like, and according to the rumors circulating around with it, it takes the form of the potential BMW 3 Series rival in Coventry's pipeline. It isn't immediately known how much the design house and the automaker have been working together on this concept, or what, if any chances for production something like this has, but it will likely appear on Bertone's stand and be one of the main talking points of the whole show.

This Bertone design wouldn't get mistaken for anything other than a Jag, which can't be said for Jag's own lineup of sedans.

Looks like a modern 1963 Lincoln with the suicide rear doors and no B-pillar.

Which isn't the best look when your designing a 21st Century British Jaguar :/

This looks great - hope they build it. I am off to the Geneva Show, so am hoping it looks as good in the metal as in the pics!

Multiple classic XJ styling cues but overall looks like an '80s concept.

      Fail.

Finally someone did the modern meets retro look work. Of course if it was to be produced it would be watered down a bit. But it's got the looks to be a smash hit.

      Jaguar owner here.

Love it! Finally, some signs of the Jag DNA in a new design. The new production designs are luxurious but largely homely. Would not buy one. Would buy this!

      Of course I'm biased...I have a '76 XJ12-C!

Make it a two-door (not a funky 2+2 four door w/little suicides like old Saturns) and I'm sold!

Bring back the old XJ design!

The article needs no title, no text. Could it be anything but a Jag?
