The ultimate parking meter
A
company with the rather unfriendly name of Photo Violation Technologies says that it is Perfecting How People Park.
What they really mean is, they're perfecting how people pay to park. The PhotoViolationMeter (right) takes a picture of your car and its license plate when you park, and starts the clock before you even get out of the car. You pay with a credit/debit card or cash, and should you be unfortunate enough to overstay your welcome, you get to pay for your parking ticket right at the meter. Now isn't that special.
Oh, and no more cruising for a meter with time left on it, either. The ViolationMeter senses when a car leaves its parking spot and resets the clock to zero, no matter how much time was left.

I imagine they will set the grace period to allow you to get out of your car and feed it to a pretty low level. Think of the parking fines this thing could levy by doing that.

I hope they automatically fine people who can't seem to park within the parking lines... those idiots should be penalized.

Put one of these in every parking space, at the mall this will save a lot of families a great deal of money.O yes put them on the streets too in from of the little guys shops. Both the malls and little guys will thank you. And I will have more money to spend on other things. Great ideas just keep coming our way!

I wonder how they deal with handicap parkers. I don't know if every where does this but in the town I live in, people with handicap parking permits can park in metered parking for free.
