We came upon these pictures on the internet and wanted to share. The Passat will be one of the few cars on the
market with a completely electric parking brake, the first stop in making “brake-by-wire” a reality. The fear may be
unfounded, but there’s something scary about no physical connection between our brake pedal and the master cylinder.
The pictures also show the “floating armrest” with a gap that can hold papers. Humm? Also the Passat goes the fob-key
route. The key fob is actually the key and fits in the dash, a-la the BMW 7-Series. Pictures at the link.
