The soap opera continues! Well, now we know that Len Hunt’s “other interests” (cited as the reason for his departure
from Volkswagen of America) were in a job offer from Kia Motors America. Hunt will join Kia at its Irvine, California,
headquarters Monday, as its new chief operating officer, reporting to J.H. Lee, its equally new president and
CEO.
Lee, former senior executive VP, replaces Peter Butterfield, who unexpectedly announced his resignation today.
Hunt resigned from VW on Thursday, apparently turning down an offer to become board member for sales and marketing at
VW’s Bentley Motors Group in England.
