We’re not sure this award is necessarily one you want front and center on your resume, but nevertheless the
2006 Chevy Impala and 2006 Ford F-150 have been named the 2006 Fleet Car and Truck of the Year in a competition
sponsored by Automotive Fleet and Business Fleet magazines.

Fleet sales are comprised of not only
rentals, but bulk purchases by businesses and governments, as well. Their total sales comprise 17-percent of all
vehicles registered in North America, so fleet sales are still big business for automakers.

However, a
successful fleet vehicle has a negative stigma that can often sour its retail sales as well as depress its value in the
market place. Hence, we consider this award to be one that cuts both ways for these two automakers.
