Bill Ford Jr. focused on turn around

Bill Ford, Ford Motor Co. Chairman and CEO, will announce a
new restructuring plan to return North American operation to profitability. Timing for the announcement is not
firm yet, but it will be this fall. Mr. Ford stated that the plan would ‘encompass a lot of things, an affordable
business structure… some new things we are going to announce that will surprise people positively.” We’re sure
that investors will be positively surprised, but I would be surprised if a few plants are not on the chopping
block. Ford also would like to see more hybrids being produced. We couldn’t agree more. Time will tell if their
plans will turn the company around, especially with the North American market getting more and more competitive.
We will see when more details come to light.
