Honda, I mean, um, Acura recently pulled the silken hanky off the number representing the price for their all-new
2005 RL flagship: $48,900. And the car will only come in a single unalterable fully-freaking-stacked model with
everything from AWD to XM Satellite Radio to Voice Recognition-equipped Navigation as standard equipment. The RL will
travel across the Earth’s paved crust thanks to a 300-hp V6 that has one of them newfangled Sequential Sportshifter
doohickeys conected to it, which basically amounts to an automatic tranny with paddle shifters in addition to an
excessively-burled gearchanger knob. The pricing scheme seems to slightly undercut similarly-loaded offerings
from BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz.
