If the last time you enjoyed an Eddie Bauer product was in the back seat of your friend’s dad’s EB-branded Ford Explorer, you’re missing out. The Seattle-based outdoor recreation brand sells a ton of high-quality outdoor apparel and camping gear made to last a long time, not least of which are a pair of winter-proof work gloves currently on sale for half of their normal price.

The Eddie Bauer Mountain Workwear Gloves are on sale for $30, 50% off their typical $60 price tag. They come in small, medium, and large sizes determined by length from wrist to the tip of the middle finger and circumference around the knuckles. The brand says they’re “built for rugged work in cold environments,” and it’s easy to see why.

The palm and fingers (including a keystone thumb that maximizes dexterity) of these gloves are made of durable cowhide that will develop a nice patina as you wear them. The back side is made of suede while the interior has soft brushed tricot lining. Inside these gloves, you’ll find 100-gram polyfill insulation that keeps the cold out and body heat in. They are finished with rib knit cuffs — 97% nylon and 3% spandex — that cling to the wrist, creating a comfortable seal that prevents heat transfer.

One shopper wrote that these gloves are “thin and flexible, while still retaining warmth.” Another agreed that “they are warm, yet compact enough to fit in my coat pockets.”

Other customers added that these gloves are “great quality” and “built to last.” They make for “great everyday winter gloves” that are “very comfortable.”

For $30, Eddie Bauer Mountain Workwear Gloves are a real bargain, and not just because they’re insulated gloves made with suede and leather. Their real value is in how much more comfortable they can make the rest of this winter and many winters to come.
