The colder it gets, the less appealing it sounds to spend a weekend dragging lawn equipment and patio furniture around the yard. But with winter right around the corner, there’s still plenty that needs to be put away. Mowers, bicycles, gardening supplies, outdoor furniture, and all the random stuff collected over the summer can eat up garage space fast. If you’ve got several larger items to store, a small backyard shed probably isn’t going to cut it. Something with enough room to walk around and organize everything makes a lot more sense.
With this clearance deal we found at Walmart, the Pabimia 12-Foot by 18-Foot Outdoor Storage Shed is on sale for $660, more than half-off its usual $1,420 price. That’s a $760 discount on a seriously large metal shed, with 216 square feet of space to work with. For comparison, that’s more floor space than some single-car garages. You could store lawn equipment along one wall, keep electric bicycles and patio furniture toward the back, and still have room for tools, seasonal decorations, or storage bins.
This shed is built with metal panels with a reinforced internal structure, along with wide double doors that should make moving bulky equipment in and out a lot less frustrating. The doors are lockable, although you’ll need to supply your own lock. There are also two windows, which are a nice addition when you’re digging around for something during the day and don’t want to bring a flashlight.
Assembly hardware and instructions are included, but this is a large building, so plan on having help and preparing a level, sturdy base before getting started. At over half-off, it’s worth a look if you’re trying to reclaim the garage before the snow starts flying.
