It’s a new year, and if that means it’s time to shop for a new car, Audi’s latest lease offer on the Q5 compact luxury SUV might be worth checking out. The Q5 is all-new for the 2025 model year, with fresh Premium Platform Combustion underpinnings, and it’s got a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 268 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, enough to get from 0-60 mph in an estimated 5.8 seconds. Inside, the driver gets an 11.9-inch digital display, and the center of the dashboard houses a 14.5-inch MMI touchscreen. The two are seamlessly joined together as a single OLED panel, giving the cabin a high-tech feel. Interested yet? The solitary lease offer available this month prices the crossover between the two BMW X3 trims, fueling an age-old rivalry between the two German automakers.

Audi’s January lease deal for the Q5 is on the 2025 Q5 quattro in Premium Plus guise, and it costs $629/mo over 39 months, with $4,923 due at signing and a mileage limit of 32,500 miles. The offer is available until February 2, 2026, and is based on an MSRP of $59,850, including a $1,295 destination charge, with a capitalized cost of $53,445. This excludes tax, title, license, options, and dealer fees, but there’s no security deposit required. The $4,923 amount due at signing includes the first month’s payment of $3,399 and an $895 acquisition fee. Once all is said and done, the 39 monthly payments will total $24,531, but for those who choose to buy after the lease period comes to an end, they will be charged another $395.

There may be some additional discussions with the dealer at this point, as payment for outright purchase will vary based on the final negotiated price. Regardless, the lease end will bring with it a disposition fee of $495, and if more than 32,500 miles have been clocked, lessees will be charged $0.25/mile in excess.

How Audi’s Q5 Deal Compares with the BMW X3

$629/mo is an interesting price, as it sits between the two lease offers available for the BMW X3 this month. The base X3 30 xDrive, which is powered by a comparable four-cylinder engine (with 255 hp) that enables a similar six-second 0-60 mph time, can be had for as little as $599/mo over 39 months, while the more powerful M50 variant can be leased for $789/mo. The latter features a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbocharged engine putting out 393 hp, but at $160 more per month than the Q5, that extra grunt comes at considerable cost.
