The 2026 Mazda CX-90 in a Nutshell

Mazda surprised the market when it rolled out a new rear-wheel drive platform for its crossovers. It started with the CX-60, which isn’t available in North America, followed by the larger CX-90 for 2024. While it hasn’t been the smoothest of introductions, Mazda has made continuous improvements to polish the product.

With that, the CX-90 is in its second full year on the market. It continues to represent Mazda’s more upmarket ambitions, and further refinements have been made for the 2026 model year. More enhancements are also underway, but they will likely be for next year’s model.

2026 Mazda CX-90 Lease Deals for August

Mazda has lease deals for both gas and plug-in hybrid versions of the CX-90. Special offers are available for the Turbo Select AWD and the PHEV Preferred, and both can be leased for under $300 per month. The CX-90 Select goes for $279 for 36 months with $6,949 due at signing. As for the XC-90 PHEV Preferred, it’s $299 for 36 months with $9,099 due at signing.

Admittedly, though, there is a catch, as mileage is limited to 7,500 per year. Exceeding that nets a penalty of $0.15 per mile. Of course, rates will vary depending on area, and you can ask your dealer for more miles provided you’re willing to pay more per month. As for the offers mentioned above, these are valid until August 31, 2026.

Final Thoughts

As a near-luxury model, the Mazda CX-90 is a pretty solid choice. There’s no shortage of standard equipment and suprise-and-delight features. While it doesn’t wear a prestige badge, it is a viable alternative to more expensive luxury three-row SUVs. It even manages to undercut the likes of the Honda Pilot and Toyota Grand Highlander, and that alone makes this big Mazda worth considering.
