About a month ago, tragedy struck the National Corvette Museum when a sinkhole opened up underneath the facility, swallowing eight cars and causing tons of carnage in the process. We saw it all on video, learned how Chevy would extract the damaged 'Vettes, and even checked in on the repair process. Terrible stuff, for sure.

But is it a conspiracy, all part of the government's "sinkhole hoax plan?" According to World Wide Web whiz Zurnmusic, that's exactly what's going on here.

In a nearly nine-minute-long video posted to YouTube, and discovered by our friends at Autoweek, one guy goes through the process of debunking what he says is obviously just a bunch of fakery. His proof? "The floor looks like it's made out of paper ... uh, styrofoam." And that blue 2009 Chevy Corvette ZR1 found in the sinkhole? It's obviously a Hot Wheels car, duh. In fact, the exact same die-cast car that you can buy online. Tricky, tricky.

Have a look below to watch the entire conspiracy video for yourself. And if you're of like mind, please be sure to tell us all about it in the Comments.

This is old news, and that guy is an absolute, complete and total idiot. I really don't feel that this guy deserves any press.

Considering that Youtube has revenue sharing with content uploaders, he could in fact be: 3. GENIUS

This dude is a MORON!!! Is he serious?! You can clearly see the full interior of that ZR1 whenthe drone goes down. Not to mention you can WATCH THE FULL BLOWN EXCAVATION ONLINE! This guy needs a job haha. Also the owners whos cars have been wrecked could go and see them within the hole sooooo....do some research guy :D

Two things: 1) The wheels of the ZR1 are clearly not the five-spoke version of the Hot Wheels toy. 2) The front wheels of the ZR1 are turned. Last time I checked Hot Wheels 1:64 scale cars do not have turning wheels. Discovered that within 3 seconds of this guys pointless rant. What. A. Moron.

I had to stop watching, it was too absurd. I'm pretty sure the movie Airplane! was more believable. Anyone can clearly see that not only is there level of detail on the cars clearly visible that are over and above what can be captured in a 1/64th scale die-cast, anyone with even a slight understanding physics can understand exactly how the cars came to rest, how they were damaged (also clearly visible even though he disregards) and how the dirt and debris would up where it was. This guy's a nut job. Sink hole conspiracy? Because they want to soften us up to take our land? Russian bloggers as reliable sources? I think the museum ought to drag his ass to the site and make him look at the actual hole and recant his rant...

Wow, he's had some expensive matchbox/Hot Wheels toys. The front tires turn. Stupid people being stupid.

So that guy that was swallowed up whole by a sinkhole in Florida last year was also a conspiracy? Was he a Ken doll?
Apparently the cars craned out of the hole were "more fakery" as well. I mean, just look at them. Look at the phoney damage to the matchbox cars. How many matchbox cars did they buy to get those shots!?!?!
