Fiat Grande Punto

The new Grande Punto is charged with the task of replacing a big seller for Fiat, the Punto, which has sold over six million units since 1993. This is one car in which the European press was very interested, considering that the compact or B segment in which it competes makes up 26% of the total market. The Grande Punto is just that, grander and bigger in every dimension than the car it replaces.

Reading the press material one gets the impression the Grande Punto is like the Ford F-150 of Europe. There are 19 versions of the car that include two body types (3 or 5 doors), four trim levels, six engines (two gas, four diesels), 13 paint colors and 12 types of interior. We?re most interested in whatever version comes with the 1.9L Multijet diesel producing the most power of the available engines at 130 hp.
