Police say a man in Scottsdale, Arizona went on a carjacking spree that left a trail of destruction behind him. John Brigham was reportedly in an accident with another motorist at around 1:30 PM Saturday. Rather than exchange insurance information, Brigham allegedly stripped naked and jumped onto the roof of a Honda CR-V. The man then carjacked a woman driving a Toyota Prius before causing a five-car incident just down the road. Brigham allegedly hit a pregnant woman driving a Lexus before swerving to collide with a Chevrolet pickup truck head-on. He was ejected from the Toyota as a result of the second collision.

Reports say Brigham then began attempting to gain access to other vehicles on the road when police arrived. He was taken into custody without incident, but was transported to a local hospital for injuries sustained during the ordeal. Once released, he could potentially face charges for carjacking, robbery and leaving the scene of an accident. All told, a total of seven individuals were hospitalized by Brigham's rampage. Check out the local news report below.

Hit the brakes for a second and then hit the gas. Instant Karma.

I'm more impressed with what damage the prius did to what looks like a white chevy silverado. The speed must of been insane for him to be ejected from the car on that head on, but still I'd of figured the Silverado would of held up better & the pruis would be a bug on that window.

I was at the site right after this happened (This happened right outside Red Robbin Restaurant on Shea Blvd- I am talking about the 2nd accident). You are correct. I was shocked to see the condition of the Prius but then I saw the Chevy and farther down, the Lexus (it was LS - big one). I was totally amazed that no one died and as you state, the damage caused to both the big Lexus and the Chevy Pickup (Full Size). I had a hard time believing that such a little car could do so much damage to two much larger autos.

As a Tech who works on Prius.. you'd be shocked on how fast the hybrid cars move when u have both gas engine and electric engine going plus the car is basically a wedge so its like throwing a dull knife at a tin can..still does damage. also for him to be ejected from the Prius that means he was foot to the floor as the interior doesn't normally allow for this to happen as there are numerous amounts of airbags and other safety features..

They didnt mention HOW the car jacker accessed the Prius, i would figure a guy, but if someone just freaked out and just let him into their vehicle, then thats one weak idiot. No auto locking features on that Prius to prevent this stuff? Same with the Lexus, how did he get access to these vehicles?? Maybe i'm from Miami and we are just taught if someone walks near your car just floor it and take off.
