Motorsports Highlights: November 19-20

Late addition – Baja 1000 results after the jump! NASCAR: NASCAR got its wish, with a championship chase that went down to the final race of the season this weekend. After a race that saw Carl Edwards (who has to be everyone’s surprise of the year) draw within 12 points of Tony Stewart in if-the-race-stopped-right-now scoring, Stewart did just what he had to do to win the Nextel Cup. Greg Biffle won the race, to finish second in the championship, and Carl Edwards faded to fourth after leading much of the race, ending up third in championship points. Jeff Gordon ended the year 11th in points, good for a $1 million bonus. Much more at nascar.com.
