We have shown you sketches of the Concept Sportback already. The Sportback concept is supposed to represent the next
EVOlution of Mitsubishi’s compact car line. Styling cues from this concept will probably make it into the next
generation Lancer, which will also share its platform the Chrysler’s new compacts, the Dodge Caliber and Jeep
Compass/Patriot. While the sketches were vague, the concept is intriguing. The sporty nature of the concept leads us to
believe that this may be a hint at the next EVO, the EVO X. While we were not that impressed with the sketches, the
concept is smashing in reality. It is product like this that may help turn Mitsubishi around if they can tackle their
quality issues.
