Video games have long been the ultimate gateway drug for automotive enthusiasts, allowing players to digitally collect, modify, and race vehicles they could never otherwise afford in the real world. Now, eBay is aggressively blurring the line between virtual and reality by launching the “eBay Most Wanted Collection.” Debuting at the 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the collection features a fleet of four custom-built vehicles inspired by the most iconic rides from legendary racing video games.

The custom-curated fleet includes a 2022 Chevrolet Corvette C8 dubbed “The South Beach Supercar,” a 2006 Dodge Viper known as “The Street Icon,” a 1992 BMW 325i Convertible titled “The Classic Getaway,” and a 1975 Chevrolet Nova called “The Hot Pink Hi-riser.” Just like previous high-profile charity vehicle build-offs, the online marketplace utilized its massive inventory to source both the base vehicles and the specific aftermarket parts needed to bring these digital concepts to life on the show floor.

Livestream Bidding for a Cause

While seeing these video game-inspired customs parked at SEMA is certainly cool, eBay is taking the activation a massive step further. Starting on November 5 at 12 p.m. PT, all four vehicles will cross the virtual auction block during the very first marquee vehicle livestream on eBay Live. Incredibly, the starting bid for each high-end custom vehicle is set at just $6, and 100 percent of the final auction proceeds will go directly to benefit The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

To hype the event, the live auction will be co-hosted by automotive creator Hertrech “Hert” Eugene Jr. and actor Sung Kang. Kang is no stranger to bridging the gap between SEMA builds and gaming culture; his own custom Datsun 240Z, known as the “Fugu Z,” famously started as a real-world track project before being scanned and officially immortalized in the video game universe.

Making the Impossible Accessible

From an editorial perspective, launching an interactive vehicle auction directly from the SEMA floor is a brilliant marketing strategy for eBay Motors. High-profile, insane SEMA builds frequently go up for auction after the event concludes, but actively livestreaming the bidding process to a global audience of enthusiasts completely changes the dynamic.

By starting the bidding at just six dollars, eBay is generating massive hype while simultaneously raising critical funds for charity. The entire collection serves as a clever, physical reminder of the platform’s core premise, whether you are searching for an obscure part to finish a digital-inspired project car, or trying to buy a custom Dodge Viper outright, the marketplace allows you to build the garage you have always dreamed of.
