Though nothing ever seems to go its way, Mitsubishi still isn’t giving up. At the 2006 North American International
Auto Show in Detroit this January the beleaguered company will debut two new models – the Concept-CT MIEV hybrid sport
compact and the Eclipse Spyder. The incorporates technology we’ve previously
highlighted, including in-wheel electric motors that
drive all four wheels.
The second model is the Eclipse Spyder, an eagerly awaited addition to the Eclipse lineup that will be available with
either of the coupe’s engines – a 2.4L four that produces 162 hp or a 3.8L V6 producing 263 hp.
