The convertible 2+2 is supposedly in the works for production in
2006. This is in combination with new vehicles including SUVs both smaller and larger than the Touareg. This variety in
the product line-up seems like a good way for VW to regain some of the luster recently lost. The convertible will be
priced in the $30,000 range. That seems just about right to us if it has the folding hardtop promised.
