VW is recalling 290,000 diesel-powered cars worldwide for problems that could lead to fuel leakage. This recall
covers three and four cylinder engines in VW, Seat, Audi and Skoda cars.
Chrysler is recalling 98,000 cars and
SUVs. 71,763 2004 Durangos for short-circuiting battery cables that could cause a fire and 26,354 Sebring and Strati
(plural Stratus?) for cracking steering knuckles.
Ford is recalling 474,000 Escapes for an accelerator
problem that could cause the engine to race. The accelerator cable may prevent the engine from returning to idle.
