Vanity plate joke gone horribly wrong

Jim Cara thought the “NOTAG” license plate he ordered for his Suzuki motorcycle would be a really clever and funny way to let other motorists know that he himself was clever and funny. But when he received his new plate in the mail, it arrived with more than 200 parking violations, all stating: “Notice of violation. License number: no tag.” The violations for improperly tagged vehicles were all funneled to Cara by the state’s screwball computer system, which itself loves a good practical joke now and then. Cara says he has no plans to change his tag, and the state’s computer system says it likewise has no plans to stop sending Cara other people’s tickets.
