When you’ve already received one drunken driving charge you wise up after having a bit too much to drink. There’s no
way you’d get behind the wheel in that state and risk the tougher penalties that second offense will bring. A quick
thinking Wisconsin man figured he’d have his son drive for him to avoid such a crack down by the law. Unfortunately
another driver on the highway (highway!?) noticed the boy steering a speeding car and called it in. Now the bright
father, one Paul Boland, is facing both the second drunken driving charge and a count of driving impaired with a
juvenile in the car. This brings his potential punishment up to a year in jail and $2,200, if convicted. Does anyone
find it odd that this guy isn’t facing a harsher sentence? His blood alcohol was 0.18.
