Nissan spokespeople announced today that Nissan will pull back truck production in favor
of making more cars. As truck sales dropped in the wake of high gas prices, Nissan’s Sentra, Altima,
Maxima and Murano sales increased between 10 and 33 percent over last year, depending on the model. At the moment,
Nissan has announced it will build as many as 10,000 more Altimas, with figures for the other three vehicles to be
disclosed later.
