ML-Class aces NHTSA impact tests

Remind me to be driving a Mercedes-Benz ML-Class the next time I’m in an auto accident. Those who happen to be piloting the German luxo-ute when involved in a wreck will supposedly fair just fine according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The NHTSA has awarded the ML-Class five stars in both front and side impact tests for both the front and rear passengers. That’s like an A+ with a little smiley face sticker. Video of the front impact test where the ML nails a wall at 36 mph can be seen here, while video of the side impact test can be seen here. [Thanks to eMercedesBenz.com for the tip]
