Yes the folks at Edmunds seem to be getting better and better scoops these days and they unveil a good one with the
new CLS series and the CLS55 in particular. Only 1,500 of the AMG specials will hit the U.S. and that includes a
supercharged 5.5 liter V8 producing a mind-blowing 469 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. 516! Edmunds says that’ll
get you to 60 in 4.5 seconds. All those number mean bigger sticker numbers as well. Again Edmunds estimates $85-90,000
for the AMG. But I’ll take the still stylish 302 horsepower CLS 500. The overall design of the CLS series is really
refreshing and it’ll be interesting to see if they can sprinkle it over the rest of the line-up.
