According to a new report, Korean automaker Kia appears one step closer to deciding where it will break ground
for a new U.S. plant, and looks to have Georgia on its mind.
According to an unidentified source, word ’round the campfire is that the state is offering the automaker more
incentives to build within its borders than any other candidate. For their part, Kia’s public relations people are
denying the story.
Among those in contention, Lauderdale County is also considered a front-runner, along with Chattanooga,
Tennessee, Aiken, South Carolina, Hopkinsville, Kentucky and Decatur, Alabama.
