Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8

Let’s just put it out there from the start, there is absolutely no reason for the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8. None. OK
maybe the fact that Jeep is claiming it will hit 60 mph in under five seconds is reason enough. Under five seconds!!!!!
What is that? When was the last time a Jeep got a high performance trim? The GC already has an optional Hemi V-8. Does
it need 415 horsepower from the same powerplant as the Charger SRT-8? Well no. But there’s something to be said for a
Grand Cherokee that can outrun a Porsche Cayenne Turbo.

The dress up bits look sharp enough and the combined tailpipes are a nice touch. But I don?t see Jeep owners all
that interested in this kind of variant. Give them some mountain climbing crap, white water rafting gear etc. But why
would you want a street machine in your Grand Cherokee when you could get a Magnum SRT-8? Also, am I the only one not
loving the front treatment? And to piss everyone off I just realized the Charger embargo is tomorrow at 12:01 a.m. My
bad. To make it up to you all, here are the rest of the SRT-8 images.

For the number nuts: 0-100-0 mph in the low 19-second range, and 60-0 mph braking distance of approximately 125
feet.
