Never being one to let professional basketball get all the bad press, it appears as though
two of the three former Ferrari employees suspected of industrial espionage, for stealing information from Ferrari
which was then used by Toyota’s Formula One program, will face charges and be tried in an Italian court. The two men
are accused of accessing computers without authorization and passing on confidential files and information. Toyota, has
denied they knew anything of espionage or that any stolen files or information was used in the design of their Formula
One challenger. All this despite the fact that one of the accused worked for their F1 program, and even helped to
produce what was essentially a carbon copy of Ferrari’s all-conquering F2002 Formula One car. I’m sure Toyota will be
watching this case closely so as to avoid getting another black-eye on the world motorsport scene.
