Dog/HEMI hybrid hits the bricks in Birmingham, Michigan

As part of a fundraiser for the Community House nonprofit organization, Daimler Chrysler and others were ask to paint or design fiberglass dog sculptures to be placed on Birmingham street corners from July 15th through October 13. The design process for this pup was overseen by Mark Allen, Senior Manager in DaimlerChrysler’s Jeep design studio, who claims that his group deliberately disregarded the instructions for painting and designing the dog, all in the name of creativity. Well somebody alert the ASPCA, because not only have these cruel “artists” strapped an engine to this poor dog’s back, they’ve also set his feet on fire, hoping to create the illusion of speed.
