We can’t wait until the new The Dukes of Hazard movie opens and heads straight to video so we can stop
posting on possible promotional tie-ins with Dodge’s new Charger. The latest comes from a customizing shop called
Custom South near Tampa, FL that has placed up for auction on eBay the opportunity to buy one of three limited edition
“General Lee” Dodge Chargers for $49,000 a pop. The description provides no details on how deep the custom job goes,
but obviously paint, decals, wheels, and a genuine Confederate flag on the roof are part of the package. Sales begin
today to coincide with the opening of The Dukes of Hazard, though this promotion appears in no way to be
endorsed by either the film or DaimlerChrysler.
