Breaking news: rich people speed more

Gee, did they really need to spend money on a survey to figure this one out? The resulting data suggests that that there may be a direct correlation between having an income over $75,000 and exceeding the speed limit. But of course we’re talking aboutspeeding in moderation— doing about ten over the limit. Isn’t this about how fast pretty much everyone drives, if we exclude the small percentages driving at the slow/fast extremes? The conclusion may as well be “rich people breathe too.”  One tough question inspired by the study: shouldn’t rich (and probably well-educated) people know better, assuming speeding is so dangerous? Well, being better educated, they obviously know that speeding laws are meant to generate revenue, not save lives. So, yes, in a way they do know better.
