Unfortunately for those of us who are eager to relax on the deck with a beverage, mowing the lawn is not the only thing you have to do to make it look neat and well cared for. Trimming any areas the mower missed, like directly against a house or fence, and edging lines along the driveway, patio, or walkways is also necessary. The good news is that Walmart has a combination trimmer and edger on sale right now with a massive discount.
The Workprox 12-Inch Cordless String Trimmer is on sale for $51 at Walmart, 74% off its normal $197 price tag. It comes with everything you need to get started: a 4.0Ah battery pack, a USB-C charging cable, and two spools of cutting string.
74% OffThere are plenty of single-purpose edgers and trimmers out there, so the fact that this is a 2-in-1 tool would make it a pretty good deal even without this steep discount. It’s also clear that corners were not cut to get that versatility, as you’ll still find a spacer guard to protect plants, an automatic feed light system that extends the line as needed without manual adjustments, and an ergonomic, telescoping handle for comfortable use. The included battery provides up to 50 minutes of runtime on a single charge, and the fact that it charges via USB-C means you don’t need a bulky charger to juice it up.
One shopper called this trimmer “so easy to use and easy to handle,” adding that “the motor has enough power to make the job super easy.” It’s also “very accurate” and “doesn’t take long to charge.”
Other customers shared that this tool made it “very easy to cut down my tall grass” because it has “plenty of power” and “leaves the yard looking very neat.” If you’re looking for “a small, lightweight weed eater” this is a great choice.
