Welding machines can be bulky and intimidating, but handheld options are making the process far easier for novices and pros alike. A compact arc welder gives you the ability to tackle quick fixes around the house, repair equipment in the garage, or handle maintenance on the farm without investing in a massive workshop setup. For DIYers, hobbyists, or anyone who needs portable welding power, smaller machines like the one we found at Amazon offer the convenience of mobility while still delivering reliable performance.
For a limited time, the Trqwh Portable Handheld Welding Machine is on sale for only $57, making it cheaper than you might think to get into welding. Despite weighing only 3.9 pounds, it produces up to 120 amps of output, supporting rods from 1/16 to 1/8-inch. The compact 9.8 inch by 10 inch design makes it easy to store, carry, or keep as a backup in the truck or toolbox. It’s a tool that should work just as well for home projects as it does in more demanding environments like small factories or field repairs.

This welder uses IGBT inverter technology with a built-in hot start function that makes arcs easier to strike for stable performance. The five-level current adjustment lets you tailor settings to your chosen welding rod, giving you flexibility across different materials and thicknesses. Safety is also a strong point and built-in protections guard against overheating, overcurrent, and overload, and the included protective mask helps keep sparks in check. The bundled kit includes everything you need to get started, from rods to a ground clamp and welding brush.
One reviewer summed up its usefulness by saying, “This is a handy welder to take anywhere. I am so pleased with this unit that I am planning to put one in my truck, one on my tractor, and one in the remote workshop.”
“This unit is perfect for small jobs and little maintenance projects,” said another buyer. “My lawnmower frame literally cracked in half and I was able to weld plates over the crack and repair the frame with this simple little unit.”
