If a power outage occurred in your area, would you be prepared? You might be able to live without power for an hour, a few hours, or even a full day. However, over half of Americans admit to being caught off guard by the last power outage in their city, and if you fall into this category, dealing with one lasting longer than 24 hours might pose unique challenges.
Make sure you’re ready for your next power outage by picking up the Jackery 500 Explorer Portable Power Station. It usually costs $499, but for a limited time, you can purchase one for just $299 at Amazon. It could be the key to keeping you and everyone else in your household safe if the power goes out.
Measuring only 12 inches long, 7.5 inches wide, and 9 inches tall, and weighing just 13 pounds, this power station is as portable as it gets, making it easy to move wherever you need it during a power outage. At the same time, it has a capacity of 518Wh, a continuous output of 500W with a peak of 1000W, and safety features that automatically turn it off if you attempt to plug too many devices into it at once.
This power station also has seven convenient ports — one AC outlet, three USB-A ports, two DC ports, and one car port — that let you plug a wide range of electronics into it, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and even small appliances like mini refrigerators. Additionally, you can recharge the power station in under 8 hours with an AC wall outlet, or you can invest in a Jackery SolarSaga 100W Solar Panel (not included) to recharge it in under 10 hours.
This power station isn’t just for power outages, either. Because it’s so compact, it’s also become a favorite among those who enjoy camping, RVing, and other outdoor activities. You can even toss it into your car and use it to keep your devices charged during road trips. It can minimize the strain you might put on your car’s electrical system otherwise by plugging things into its cigarette lighter or USB ports.
“This has been such a game changer for me,” one reviewer wrote. “I live in Florida, and with the threat of hurricanes and power outages, my family and I plan to use this as part of our emergency preparedness kit. It has exceeded my expectations.”
“I have used it on several camping trips, and I can say so far that it has been one of my most useful pieces of camping equipment,” another shopper wrote. “It meets all my immediate needs, and it’s basically the Goldilocks of power — not too big, not too small, just right.”
