Many heavy-duty cordless drill drivers capable of tackling the toughest household tasks are on the heavier side, weighing 3 to 8 pounds. Lighter models that weigh anywhere from 2 to 4 pounds exist, but they aren’t always cut out to take on the same drilling and driving jobs as their heavier counterparts. Walmart sells one that is the best of both worlds — lightweight, yet powerful — and it’s currently on sale for over 50% off.
The Deli 12V Cordless Impact Drill Set usually sells for $46, which is already a steal for such a well-equipped tool, but you can get your hands on one right now for just $21. The kit includes a light-as-a-feather drill that weighs just 2.2 pounds, along with various drill bits and a convenient carrying case.

In addition to weighing about the same as a gallon of milk, the drill at the center of this impressive set is small in stature compared to other options, as it’s just 10 inches long, 4 inches wide, and 12 inches tall. It also has an easy-to-use ergonomic handle and a rechargeable 12-volt lithium-ion battery, allowing you to put it to good use without dragging a cord behind.
However, the best part about this drill is that it offers 18 torque settings and drilling modes, enabling you to choose the optimal amount of power for driving and drilling into plastic, wood, or even metal. Plus, it boasts a 3/8-inch keyless chuck with an automatic spindle lock, allowing for effortless one-handed bit changes, as well as an easily accessible forward and reverse switch.
One reviewer wrote, “I expected this drill only to be used for light-duty tasks, but it went way beyond what I anticipated. It provides considerable muscle, has useful features, like an LED light, and feels like a quality tool.”
“It’s well-made, sturdy, and uncomplicated,” another reviewer added. “Even if you’re unfamiliar with or intimidated by power tools, you will have no problem using this drill.”
