If you’re planning to purchase a cordless drill and use it for professional purposes, picking out a 20V option, such as this Dekopro 20V Cordless Drill, is probably your best bet. If, however, you plan to use a cordless drill for lighter-duty tasks around your home, such as hanging shelves and assembling furniture, you might not need a drill with that much power. A 12V or even an 8V option can get these jobs done.
At the same time, shopping for a slightly less powerful cordless drill can also save you a significant amount of money in most cases, as evidenced by the Dekopro 8V Cordless Drill Set. It retails for just $45, and thanks to an Amazon sale, you can buy it for even less than that right now. The retailer has taken 44% off its regular price for a limited time and thrown in an additional 25% off on-page coupon, making its current price only $19.
Top SellerAlthough this cordless drill doesn’t deliver as much power as the 20V model, it will still be useful from the moment you first bring it into your home. It has a high-performance motor that can reach a maximum rotational speed of 800 RPM. It also features a variable-speed trigger, giving you complete control over its power output at all times. Additionally, its 3/8-inch keyless chuck makes changing bits on the fly simple, and its easily accessible forward/reverse button lets you switch between tightening and loosening screws in a flash.
On top of all this, this cordless drill is lighter than many other options, weighing in at just over 1.5 pounds. This makes it remarkably easy to handle with one hand, regardless of your experience with power tools. It also comes packaged with a set of 13 screwdriver and twisted drill bits, further sweetening the deal.
“I wanted something compact, easy to handle, and easily rechargeable,” one reviewer wrote. “This drill fits the bill.”
“I purchased it for my condo, so its compactness appealed to me,” another shopper wrote, before briefly touching on their initial concerns about its power and allaying any worries others might have. “I wondered if it would be powerful enough, but the first time I used it to drill holes in a concrete wall, I found that it performed just fine.”
