A ratcheting screwdriver set is a simple upgrade that can make a big impact. Ratcheting can save your wrists and forearms from overuse while having interchangeable bits for one handle (instead of individual screwdrivers) means a less expensive, smaller to store tool that can do everything a huge set of screwdrivers can do. It’s always a good time to make the upgrade to a ratcheting screwdriver set, but a comprehensive set getting its price cut in half makes now a great time.
The Amir 42-Piece Ratcheting Screwdriver Set is on sale for $20 at Amazon, 50% off its list price of $40. This deal is only good on the version of this kit with a gray case; orange, black, and blue options are only discounted to $28.
50% OffInside the hard plastic case is an array of 32 small bits, clearly labeled by size and color-coded by shape, along with eight longer bits and a multifunctional ratchet handle. Torx, hex, Pozidriv, U, slotted, and Phillips bits are all included. The handle is made of a lightweight aluminum alloy with strength comparable to common steel, while the bits are made of heat-treated S2 magnetic chrome-molybdenum alloy steel.. The ratchet inside the handle has 58 teeth for an arc swing a hair over 6 degrees. Everything is magnetic, which makes it harder to lose both bits and screws, and the whole kit weighs just over a pound so it’s not difficult to take on the go.
One shopper called this “a fantastic little set to have around the house.” They also wrote that “it’s compact but comes with a wide variety of bits that cover pretty much any small repair or project.” And on top of its comprehensiveness, it’s nice to use. One shopper wrote, “The ratchet mechanism is smooth and feels solid, and the handle is comfortable to grip, even during longer tasks.”
Another satisfied customer called it a “super handy set” that has “made the assembly of my furniture so much easier and quicker.”
